What is an EICR?

An EICR – Electrical Installation Condition Report, (also known as periodic inspection and testing of an electrical installation), is carried out to determine, so far as is reasonably practicable, whether the installation is in a satisfactory condition for continued service.

What is Part P?

A straightforward way of meeting the requirements of Part P is to use a contractor who is registered with a competent person scheme such as NICEIC.  Competent persons schemes were set up with approval from the government to assess contractors to a common standard.  Once contractors have registered with a scheme they can self-certify their work as being compliant with Building Regulations, saving you the time of doing it yourself through the local authority.

How often should I get my electrics checked?

We would advise that a periodic inspection is carried out on owner-occupied properties at least every 10 years and every five years in rented accommodation. The test will certify whether the electrics in a property are safe and tell you if anything needs upgrading.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes, our work is guaranteed for 12 months from the installation date.

Do you charge for quotes?

No, we do not charge for quotes. We also try to quote remotely when possible.

How do you maintain high standards?

We consistently audit our work by carrying out site visits and require photo evidence for each installation.
